Frequently Asked Questions

Do all services require consultation? – Yes. It is especially important with inkless scar revision treatments, camouflage treatments, and magnetic tattoo removal treatments. However, all clients must schedule a consultation. The consultation fee is $75 and will be deducted from the overall cost of your procedure. In some PMU cases, consultations can be completed via telephone.

How do I schedule my consultation or appointment? – Your technician will schedule an appointment for you, and can be reached by utilizing the message platform on our website, via telephone at (573) 718-7126, or by emailing us at: info@rsquaredink.net

How do I pay for my consultation? – Both cash and card payments are accepted. (Card payments are processed via Square Payments and will incur a small processing fee to the client.)  Financing options are coming soon and will be available through Cherry Payment Plans. Payment arrangements can be made by calling R Squared Ink, LLC at: (573) 718-7126.

How long will my consultation be? – Consultations typically range from 30 to 60 minutes.

How long will my appointment be? – The length of your appointment will vary and will be tailored to your individual needs. Although, your technician will give you an estimated time frame during your consultation, it is always best practice to reserve additional time in your schedule than was anticipated.

What if I need to reschedule my consultation or appointment? – You can reschedule your appointment by utilizing the message platform on our website, or via telephone. However, we require 24 hours notice prior to rescheduling. If 24 hours notice is not given prior to rescheduling, your consultation fee will NOT be refunded.

I didn’t reschedule my consultation or appointment within 24 hours prior to my appointment time. What do I do now? – You will need to restart the scheduling process and will be required to pay a new consultation fee.

What if I show up late for my appointment or consultation? – Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late for their appointments will forfeit their appointment time and will have to reschedule. Your consultation fee will NOT be refunded.  You will need to restart the scheduling process and will be required to pay a new consultation fee.

How do I know if I need to see my doctor prior to treatment? – If you have any condition that gives you reason to hesitate having an aesthetic procedure, you need to have medical clearance prior to appointment. Being honest with your technician regarding all medical diagnosis, conditions, and current health state during consultation is a great way of helping to assess the necessity of seeing your MD before proceeding.

Is Magnetic Tattoo Removal safer than other removal procedures? – YES! Magnetic tattoo removal does not cause scarring to the skin and has been shown to cause hair regrowth in areas such as eyebrows. It is by far the most gentle and effective tattoo removal procedure available today.

Why does inkless scar revision work? – Inkless scar revision (ISR) works because you are inducing a controlled amount of trauma, precisely in the area we’d like to heal. By introducing things like: collagen, elastin, etc. to the controlled trauma via specially formulated serums, ISR can have a tremendous impact on previously damaged skin.

I’ve heard of camouflage tattooing before. Why choose Nue Conceal professionals? – While there are a host of reasons to choose Nue Conceal over other options, one of the most obvious is the patented technology of the Nue Conceal Skin Reader. This reader allows the technician to find an exact pigment match to your skin, eliminating the guessing game PMU professionals have endured for years. Nothing will custom match your exact tone the way the Nue Conceal Skin Reader can.

How do I know how many sessions of ISR I will need? – This depends on many factors. How deep are the scars in your desired treatment area? Are they discolored? How sensitive is your skin? How hydrated are you? Do you have underlying medical conditions? These and a host of additional factors play a role in your overall treatment plan. This is a staple reason consultations are required for this procedure.

How many sessions of magnetic tattoo removal can I expect? – The number of treatment sessions will vary depending on a multitude of factors, some of which are: the age of the tattoo, the quality of pigments used, the quality of needle used, and the area the tattoo is in. For example, PMU removal will almost always require fewer sessions than body art removal. Your technician will be able to give you guidance during your consultation.

How long do I need to wait in between ISR and Magnetic Tattoo Removal sessions? – As your treatment plan is tailored, your technician will advise you on this. With so many factors to consider, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. Depending on treatment received, you can expect to wait from 10 days to 6 weeks in between treatments.

I’d rather not consent to my photos being taken. Is this okay? – No. Photos/audio/video, are an integral part of documentation, assessment, and continuity of care during the entirety of your procedure. Just as a nurse might document a wound they are treating, your technician needs to keep accurate records of your progress. Without photo/audio/video consent, unfortunately, there is no way to safely proceed with treatment.

I understand my photo/audio/video will be documented during my procedure, but will any identifying information be used, such as my name? – NO! R Squared Ink, LLC adheres to HIPAA guidelines and your identity will never be revealed, nor will your private information ever be shared.

Can I take photos during my procedure to share with my friends and family? – No client is permitted to take any photos or videos without consent of the technician. We reserve the right refuse any future services to anyone who does not respect this rule.

Why do treatment/procedure costs vary? – Costs will vary depending on many factors. Some of which are: severity of scars, the presence of blood clots, correcting previous PMU work from other providers, size of treatment area, etc. Each case is customized, based on the clients’ individual needs. This includes cost of treatment.

I understand there is more than one location for R Squared Ink, LLC. Where can I receive my desired treatment? – R Squared Ink, LLC is based out of Poplar Bluff, MO, but has a long-standing relationship with AAA Tattoo, located in Paducah, KY. Clients of R Squared Ink, LLC may choose to schedule the treatment of their choice, at the location of their choice.
