Johnny and Stacy

(Bruno and Maggie)

The passionate duo that is Johnny and Stacy began in two separate geographical locations. Johnny, being from Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Stacy being from Paducah, Kentucky meant a unique set of challenges for the couple. It quickly became clear commuting back and forth was not a plausible long-term solution and this prompted Stacy’s transition to Missouri. A marriage between Johnny and Stacy also meant a marriage between their individual strengths and skills. There you will find a rare intermingling of cardiovascular, healthcare administration, and tattoo artistry backgrounds. From this, combined with the mutual desire to help others, R Squared Ink, LLC was born. With a focus on paramedical tattoo and magnetic tattoo removal, the pair present to you a new age of tattoo artistry; an age in which the science of tattooing works in tandem with our body.

Johnny’s career transitioned to cardiovascular health in 2019 at a local regional hospital. As a cardiac catheterization laboratory technician, he assisted with enumerable procedures, and decided this specialization was where his passion resided. His certifications to date include: Associates Degree in Health Science, including a pre-nursing certification, Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT), Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT), and is currently a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). Johnny maintains his career in cardiovascular health, but also works diligently alongside Stacy to assist  R Squared Ink, LLC in a host of ways. He is an ever-present face in the studio, and an extremely knowledgeable asset to the R Squared team.

Stacy’s healthcare career has spanned nearly 30 years and encompasses a multitude of specializations. Rehabilitation Technician, Social Services Director, Marketing Director, and Long-Term Care Administrator serve as only a highlight to her long-lived enthusiasm to serve others. While Stacy earned a degree in healthcare administration, her ever-present love of tattoo artistry caused her to build a relationship with the now late, Gilea Artis. Gilea was the founder and master artist of AAA Tattoo, in Paducah, Kentucky. From this connection, Stacy became a licensed tattoo artist in the state of Kentucky. Following in her mentor’s footsteps, practicing the art of PMU was where it all began. However, it didn’t take long for her love of healthcare to resurface, and for Stacy, good was never good enough. She was determined to learn from the best, just as she had with Gilea. Traveling far and wide, she returned home with master’s certifications in paramedical tattooing, camouflage tattooing, and magnetic tattoo removal. Now licensed in both Kentucky and Missouri, Stacy is proud to offer services to the heartland and mid-south that otherwise cannot be found anywhere else in the region.
